Ok, so it took almost 20 years for the movie business to catch on using proper music/dreamy shoegaze in blockbusters. Mogwai, GYBE and Sigur Ros amongst others where heard last year, now the smoothness of Explosions in the Sky is featured in the trailer for Australia with N. Kidman. On what soundtrack did GY!BE end up last year? I'm not saying you are wrong, but I just didn't know.

GY!BE contributed the song “East Hastings” from their debut album to the filmscore of the UK film 28 Days Later. They refused to be on the cd though.....

Check out "Mysterious Skin", a great (though disturbing) flick from a few years ago. Lots of great music, Cocteau Twins, Lush, Curve, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Sigur Ros...and the original score is by Robin Guthrie & Harold Budd. Highly recommended!
